Vocal podcast





1.  What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast? We used garage band to create this podcast.

2.  How could you use a project like this in other classes? You could use a project like this to present information to a class on a specific topic.

3.  In the “real world”, how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)? Careers, you could send information to peers in the form of podcasts so they can here and replay the information

4.  What part of the assignment was easy for you?   What was difficult? The editing was easy. The part that was hard was the recording.

5.  What part of the directions would you like to clarify? They were pretty well put. I understood it well.

I movie story board

2. State the TOPIC your team chose and TELL WHY you, as a group, decided to explore it. [3 pts] My team and I chose  choir. We chose this because it was not taken and another group had taken hockey.

3. What different images did you include in your storyboard & why did you chose them. [3 pts.] We used the Peoria Notre Dame, Because we did it on the Notre Dame choir. We also have a picture of a choir, because that is our topic, we have a picture that says new choir members welcome, because they welcome new choir members, We have a picture of a calender because it talks about time commitment, we have a picture of the auditorium because the choir sometimes practices there, we have a picture of a church because they play at masses, we have a picture of a sign up form because that shows how they can join, there is a picture that says no money because it doesn't cost any thing, and there is a picture of a table of food because sometimes they have food.

4. What tools of collaboration helped you succeed as a team?  [2 pts.] We used teamwork, and we used open minds to others ideas to succeed.

5. Describe HOW storyboarding helped you develop the idea for your movie.  [10 pts.] It helps give you a base for what you are going to do when doing the movie. Without story board, there would be no base for the movie and it would be thrown together. With a story board it will seem cleaner and there was hard work put into it.

Mail merge project

1. List the name of your business and its charity. The name of the Business is Apple, the charity is victims of California wild fires.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project? I learned how to use the mail merge manager tool and how to create a formal business letter.
3. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project? The easiest part of this project was finally merging the letters. The hardest part was creating the first letter and getting it all right so that I could merge it.
4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation other than writing a charity letter. You might use these skills if you worked for a school and had to make letters for the students you could use mail merge to do that.
5. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before?  If so, what? [Your response to this question can be related to the information, skills, or process of the project.] I really learned how to use the mail merge. I didn't even know that it existed before this project.

iphoto name slide show

1. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why? I used google images because it is easy and quick to use and get the picture.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project? 
I learned how to use iphoto and how to put music to the slide show.
3. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.  I could make a slide show for a meeting.
4. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?Yes I prefered this much more.

self critique

I thought that the M'M's project was pretty simple. It was not very difficult to complete and I got it done pretty quickly. I learned how to use excel more and how to use the autosum and the different applications that are on excel. i dint get 100 percent originally because I didn't use the autosum. i used the autosum on the redo and did exactly what Mrs. Strauss said to do so I should do better on this one, at least I hope. This was a good learning project to help us use excel with important topics in the future.
